A thousand jobs available at Gauteng CoGTA
The Nasi Ispani jobs campaign continues through August with new posts available
The Gauteng Department of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs has unveiled a thousand new job vacancies as part of the Nasi Ispani jobs campaign, which has released over 10,000 posts so far.
The department is looking for:
– 10x Regional Coordinators
– 50x Zone Coordinators
– 940 x Civic Education Ambassadors.
CoGTA regional coordinators
- Manage the work output of the Zone Coordinators; Track and monitor daily targets on voter registration in cluster (zone);
- Develop a monthly civic education plan for each cluster in the region;
- Liaise with the Civic Education Ambassadors on voter education and registration;
- Provide the Provincial Manager with a weekly analytical report on registration targets;
- Develop a stakeholder engagement partnership plan to rolling out Civic Education for the regional level;
- Develop an energy saving campaign in the region;
- Engage province to develop a strategy to deal with infrastructure sabotage at the cluster level;
- Provide strategic and political leadership in the space of Civic Education in the region.
Requirements for CoGTA regional coordinators
– Matric plus NQF level 6/ National Diploma in any field of study as recognised by SAQA.
– A proof as registered voter within the district
will serve as an added advantage; and multi-lingual will serve as an added advantage.
Competencies: Applicants must be South African citizens and reside within Gauteng and voting district; Interpersonal skills; Computer literacy; Smartphone literacy; Verbal and written communication skills; Emotional intelligence; applicants must be fit and agile to reach aspiring voters.
Candidates must indicate the ward in which they reside on.

CoGTA zone coordinators
- Manage the work output of the Civic Education Ambassadors at the voting district level;
- Develop daily targets on voter registration;
- Develop a monthly civic education plan for each ward in the cluster;
- Provide the Regional Coordinator with a weekly analytical report on registration targets;
- Develop a stakeholder engagement partnership plan to rolling out civic voter education for the cluster level;
- Develop an energy saving campaign in the clusters; Profile and analyse cluster incidents of infrastructure sabotage and report to the regional coordinator.
Requirements for CoGTA zone coordinators
– Matric/ NQF level 4.
– A proof as registered voter within the district will serve as an added advantage; and multi-lingual will serve as an added advantage.

CoGTA Civic Education Ambassadors
- Register ten (10) eligible voters on the voter’s roll daily;
- Hold a monthly civic education session in the VD; Partner with Churches, Businesspeople, Taxi associations and Schools in voter education;
- Hold a monthly energy saving campaign in the VD; Profile and analyse VD incidents of infrastructure sabotage and report to the Zone Coordinator.
Requirements for CoGTA Civic Education Ambassadors
– Grade 10 pass report.
– A proof as registered voter within the district will serve as an added advantage; and multi-lingual will serve as an added advantage.
