Avoid runners when getting your drivers license

The Gauteng Department of Roads and Transport has urged prospective motorists to not use the services of runners when trying to obtain their licenses.

Runners are people who are paid to stand in a queue on behalf of applicants.

The department recently shared information on how to book or renew a driving licence card or learner’s licence, or apply for a PrDP certificate.

It also details how to renew a motor vehicle licence.

Here are the steps on how to book a driving licence card renewal online:

  1. Visit the Natis website (https://online.natis.gov.za/)
  2. Select a slot for driving licence card renewal
  3. Use the booking confirmation to visit the Driving Licence Testing Centre (DLTC) on the appointment day
