Ekurhuleni calls for waste managers to get permits

The City of Ekurhuleni is calling upon all waste management service providers and generators to register with the Waste Management Services Department to acquire accreditation permits in terms of the new Integrated Waste Management By-laws 2021.

According to the requirement stipulated in the City of Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Integrated Waste Management By-Laws, 2021, Chapter 11(58), “No person may provide a commercial service without a valid accreditation permit issued by the municipality and where applicable, without a relevant license issued by the national or provincial authorities.”

To apply, interested parties can collect application forms from Boksburg Customer Care Centre, Waste Management Division: Office No. 509 & 532, 5th floor between 09h00 to 15h00 from Monday to Friday.
