Gauteng police are investigating a case of concealment of birth after the discovery of five bodies of newborn babies in an open field in Protea Glen, Soweto.
Police spokesperson, Lieutenant colonel Mavela Masondo says Police were called by a member of the community on Monday, July 14 after a man who was looking for scraps noticed slightly burned fetuses.
“Police are appealing to anyone who might have information that can help in the investigation to please call the nearest police station or call crime stop on 08600 10111”, added Colonel Masondo.
No arrests had been made yet.
