Gauteng Qondis’ Ishishini Lakho Returns
The Gauteng Department of Economic Development (GDED) is relaunching its successful “Qondis’ Ishishini Lakho – Fix Your Business” campaign.
This initiative focuses on helping businesses across Gauteng comply with legal and regulatory requirements. By supporting businesses in this way, the campaign aims to unlock growth opportunities for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promote a more inclusive and competitive economy in the province.
The event, which will take place on Thursday, September 12 at Rabasotho Section, Thembisa, in the City of Ekurhuleni, will feature key speakers, business exhibitions, and a compliance blitz.
The compliance blitz will be a highlight of the day, offering on-the-spot assistance to business owners, providing them with immediate guidance on how to meet the necessary regulations. The MEC for Finance and Economic Development, Lebogang Maile, joined by officials from various entities will do a walk-about in the event made for local business owners.
Originally launched in 2015, the campaign has already assisted many small and medium enterprises (SMEs), particularly those in townships, to formalize their operations and access new growth opportunities
This relaunch reflects GDED’s commitment to fostering a sustainable business environment. By helping companies meet compliance standards, the campaign not only enables businesses to avoid penalties but also prepares them to access new growth opportunities both locally and in international markets. The program’s return will continue to play a crucial role in supporting local businesses and boosting Gauteng’s economy.
