The prestigious White Star Miss Soweto pageant is preparing to host its 46th edition on Saturday, November 29 at the Soweto Theatre in Jabulani, bringing together 20 finalists competing for the coveted crown.
The competition formally began on October 16 with the unveiling of the Top 20 finalists. Since then, the young women have been participating in workshops focused on leadership development and community service as they prepare for the responsibilities associated with the Miss Soweto title.
The pageant emphasizes personal growth and empowerment beyond traditional competition elements, offering finalists practical skills intended to support their future endeavors.
Jonita Cuff, Marketing Manager for White Star, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating the company is “incredibly proud to continue our partnership with the Miss Soweto pageant, a time-honoured platform that champions the empowerment and growth of young women from Soweto and beyond.”
Three winners will be crowned at the main event, selected based on their dedication, presentation, and commitment to community impact.
