Legislature Signs Landmark Deal with California State University

The Gauteng Provincial Legislature (GPL) has announced the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with California State University, Sacramento, USA.

This significant agreement, inked by the Honorable Morakane Mosupyoe, Speaker of the GPL, and Dr. J. Luke Wood, President of California State University, Sacramento, heralds a new era of international collaboration in education, research, and cultural exchange.

“This partnership is a testament to our commitment to enhancing educational opportunities and fostering global engagement,” said Mosupyoe.

“We are excited about the potential for innovation and excellence that this collaboration will bring to Gauteng.”

The MoU outlines a five-year framework for academic partnerships and cooperative educational programs between the institutions.

Key initiatives include joint-degree programs, student and faculty exchanges, and collaborative research projects. These efforts aim to enrich the educational experiences of students and faculty in both regions.

Dr. J.
