Motsepe gets major boost ahead of CAF elections


Amidst the coronavirus which has kept everyone away and indoors, there is something to cheer about.

News coming in from those running the campaign of Dr Patrice Motsepe have revealed that the #FreshAir of African football and country’s bread winner has secured 32 votes so far which have assured that they will be voting for the South African candidate.

Other sources say Dr Motsepe has already won these elections as he is seen as a favourate of FIFA.


This major boost come after Dr Patrice Motsepe was cleared by the CAF governance committee and declared legible to contest. Should he emerge it will be for the first time in approximately 65 years that a candidate from the anglophone (English speaking country) is CAF president.

Dr Patrice Motsepe Motsepe has been all over Africa talking to voting delegates and lobbying for support. His campaign is led by a shrewd politician and football administrator who is the current SAFA president and CAF vice president Dr Danny Jordaan the only man to have brought the FIFA World Cup on African soil.

Dr Danny Jordaan has vast experience when it comes to African football politics and world football politics as he has been involved in that space around 2000. The CAF elections are set to be on the 12 of March 2021 in Rabat in Morocco.
