The City of Johannesburg has issued a notice to all liquor outlets in the Johannesburg CBDs.
The Joburg Metro Police will be in full force this evening to enforce this moratorium stating all alcohol and entertainment outlets must close by 6pm on Tuesday, December 31.
According to the Community Safety MMC Mcgini Tshwaku says this decisive action by SAPS is a game changer in the fight against alcohol fueled chaos. “No more allowing criminals to thrive under the influence this restriction is about reclaiming our streets and protecting our people,” he said.
