Renowned TV actor, director Shona Ferguson dies

South Africans have recently learnt about the passing of legendary actor and director, Aaron Shona Ferguson (47).

In a statement released by the family, it has been confirmed that Shona died of COVID-19 related complications on Friday, July 30.

Shona is from Botswana by birth and was married to former Generations lead actress, Connie Ferguson, who both worked in their own production company Ferguson Films.

He will be remembered for his many roles on local television dramas like Generations, Muvhango and The Wild.

Shona also played the leading role in his own production series called Kings of Joburg, which is available on Netflix.

News of his passing has gone viral on social media as many fans are yet to come to terms with this.
