Rugby star becomes new Danup ambassador

Danup, one of the leading brands under Danone, has recently unveiled its latest brand ambassador, none other than rugby star Lukhanyo Am.

The partnership aims to promote DanUp’s mission of empowering individuals to embrace their true selves, both internally and externally.

Thandeka Ngqumeya, the Marketing Director for Danone Southern Africa, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, stating, “Lukhanyo is the quintessential DanUp man; a professional rugby player for the national team and the Cell C Sharks.”

Hailing from King William’s Town in the Eastern Cape, Lukhanyo’s remarkable journey from humble beginnings to becoming one of South Africa’s top rugby players has captured the hearts of many.

Through his dedication and talent, he continues to unify South Africans through the game they love. Ngqumeya emphasized the alignment between Lukhanyo’s unwavering determination and DanUp’s values, as the brand aims to provide on-the-go nutrition and an added boost to its consumers.

In a groundbreaking move back in 2016, DanUp revolutionized the Mageu category with the introduction of its multigrain and yogurt blend, which is specially designed to keep consumers feeling fuller for longer.
