SASSA Confirms July 2025 Grant Payment Dates

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official social grant payment schedule for July 2025, and beneficiaries are urged to take note of the dates to avoid confusion or unnecessary delays.

According to SASSA, payments for older persons grants will begin on Wednesday, 2 July 2025. This includes any linked grants, such as child support or foster care grants connected to the same account.

Disability grants will follow on Thursday, 3 July 2025, also covering any grants tied to those accounts.

Children’s grants, including child support and foster care grants for standalone beneficiaries, will be available from Friday, 4 July 2025.

SASSA continues to encourage beneficiaries to use their personal bank accounts with registered financial institutions, which offer greater convenience and safety. Those using the SASSA/SAPO card can still access their funds at ATMs and retail outlets such as Shoprite, Checkers, Pick n Pay, Boxer, SPAR, and Cambridge.

Recipients are reminded to keep their cards and PINs secure and to report any suspicious activity to SASSA. For further updates, beneficiaries can visit their nearest SASSA office or follow official communication platforms.
