SASSA Grant payment dates for January 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the dates for social grant payments for the new year.
Social grant payment dates for January 2024
- Older persons – Wednesday, January 3
- Disability Grants- Thursday, January 4
- Children’s grants – Friday, January 5.
SASSA has recommended that grant beneficiaries open their own bank accounts with an institution of their choice as it will assist them to take ownership of their funds and collection.
SASSA/SAPO card can still be used as a bank card at ATM’s and counters of different merchants such as SPAR, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Cambridge etc.
Social grant beneficiaries are also reminded to always keep their card and PIN safe, and not to share their pin with anyone.
