Police are in search of unknown suspects after a murder was reported on Friday, January 21 at the Rooikraal farms in Heidelberg.
Officers received a complaint of a murder at Rooikraal farms.
An officer was dispatched and proceeded to the crime scene where he found two witnesses, namely Magadla and his colleague Obrey.
While patrolling the farm, the pair told the officer that they noticed a blue Renault with registration number BW53BFGP parked in the mealie field and they drove towards it and stopped behind it.
“They observed and noticed that there no movement from the car and they got out of their car and went to the Renault. They found a unknown male who was dead on the driver’s seat. He had a wound on his right hand side and the knife was stucked in the wound. There was blood in the deceased’s hands,” explains Constable Doris Nkosi.
Sargent Mohlala then checked the ownership of the car through its registration and found that it belongs to Gullus Jacobs.
Police contacted the father of the deceased ans he confirmed that his son went missing on the Thursday (January 20) and was reported missing at Vanderbiljpark police station on the following day.
In the car they found the deceased cellphone and his wallet.
“All the role players were contacted including LCRC and the pathology services attended the scene. The suspect(s) are unknown at this point in time,” said Constable Nkosi of the Heidelberg police.
