WORK PACKAGE NO: 1-28 FOR MECHANICAL SWEEPING, GENERAL MAINTENANCE, VEGETATION AND MONTHLY PERFORMANCE BASED PACKAGE
TENDER NOTICE AND INVITATION TO TENDER (SBD1)
VEA ROAD MAINTENANCE & CIVILS (PTY)LTD invites tenders from experienced EME/QSE subcontractors for Contract Routine NRA X.002-129-2019/1 (TOLL) & N.003-112-2019/1 (NON-TOLL) Road Maintenance of National Routes.’ This project is between the Ekurhuleni Metropolitan and Lesedi District Municipalty in accordance with the requirements of The South African National Roads Agency SOC Limited (SANRAL).
The approximate duration for (CE1 & CE2) performance-based package is 12 months. The approximate duration for (CE3, CE4 & CE5) general maintenance, vegetation and mechanical sweeping is 30 months. CIDB Regulation 25 (1B) will be applicable to this contract.
Only tenderers who are at least 51% Black owned, who is an EME/EME startup or QSE and meet the definition of a Targeted Enterprise as defined in C184.108.40.206 are eligible to enter.
Only tenderers that meet all the eligibility criteria under clause 4.1.1 of the Tender Data will be considered.
Only tenderers who meet the minimum functionality score as stated in clause 5.11.9 will be evaluated further on price and preference.
It is estimated that tenderers should have a CIDB contractor grading designation as indicated in the advert table above:
Only locally produced or locally manufactured products and components for construction with a stipulated minimum threshold for local content and production as stated in the Tender Data will be considered.
Preferences are offered to tenderers who comply with the criteria stated in the Tender Data.
A tenderer’s representative cannot represent more than one tenderer at the compulsory meeting.
SUBCONTRACT TENDER DOCUMENTS
Tender documents are available at no cost in electronic format. Tenderers must have access to Microsoft Office © 2013 and Acrobat Adobe Reader © 9.0, or similar compatible software.
The physical address for collection of tender documents is the VEA ROAD MAINTENANCE & CIVILS (PTY)LTD Office, 42 Pomona Road, Kempton Park, 1619 where tender documents may be collected from 18 May 2021 during office hours 09:00 to 16:00 (Wednesday to Friday). Tenderers are to schedule an appointment for the collection of documents by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org
Tenderers must submit via email to email@example.com, the duly completed Form A1.1 Certificate of Intention to Submit a Tender within seven (7) days from the tender advertisement date. Failure to submit this certificate would result in the tenderer not receiving addenda or additional issued information and may result in the tenderer being non-responsive.
Please be advised that the route will not be traveled and that it will be the responsibility of each tenderer to acquaint themselves with the route and its condition.
A pre-recorded video and presentation of the tenderer’s briefing will be made available to the tenderer from 25 May 2021 and subcontractors are advised to use the following link: https://vearoad3.wixsite.com/ekurhuleni. It is compulsory that the tenderer familiarize themselves with the contents of the video.

CLOSING TIME, COMPLETION AND DELIVERY OF TENDERS
All tenders are to be submitted at the address stated above and the closing time for receipt of tenders is 11:00 on 15 June 2021
