Water restored in parts of Ekurhuleni

The MMC for Water and Sanitation Alderman Tiisetso Nketle has expressed a word of gratitude to the citizens of Ekurhuleni who played their part to alleviate the pressure for water supply resultant from Rand Water restrictions in some of the areas.

While most of the areas around the city that were previously affected by the restriction which resulted in low pressure to no water supply over the past two weeks have stabilised, there are some areas that are still experiencing some restrictions.

The following areas are still affected by low pressure to no water:

Benoni: Etwatwa extensions 9, 10, 15, 18, 19, 21 and 36; Etwatwa extensions 37 and 34 (Barcelona); Daveyton Ext 2; Brentwood Park

Water tankers have been dispatched to the areas with no water.

Nigel: Tsakane proper, extensions 9, 10, 17

There are two roving water tankers in the area.

The Wadeville Industrial area is also experiencing low water pressure today.

Nketle has called on all customers to continue to save water, as we are not out of the woods, yet, she said.
