The Dory Foundation has announced a global call for applications for its new $2 million fund aimed at supporting young innovators and early-stage social impact projects worldwide.
The initiative seeks to remove financial barriers that often prevent young people from turning powerful ideas into impactful solutions. Unlike traditional funding streams, the programme is specifically designed for youth-led and early-stage initiatives—even those still in their formative stages.
Three Grant Streams Available
Applicants can apply for one of three grant options:
Seed Grants: Tailored for individuals preparing to launch a non-profit, offering quick and flexible early support.
Charity Grants: Ranging from $10,000 to $250,000, these funds help non-profits to grow, pilot or scale their work.
Individual Project Grants: Designed for innovators under the age of 25 working on promising personal projects that need initial funding to gain traction.
Who Can Apply?
The fund is open to applicants from all countries. Eligibility includes:
- Individuals under 25 years old (mandatory for Seed and Individual Project grants)
- Those planning or running a non-profit or mission-driven initiative
- Early-stage projects are strongly encouraged to apply
- Open to all social impact sectors
More Than Just Funding
Successful applicants will also receive access to mentorship, a global peer support network, and training in key skills such as fundraising, financial management and impact measurement.
The foundation emphasises that young people often hold the most innovative answers to social challenges but lack the resources to test or scale them. This fund aims to give them the “runway” needed to launch, experiment and grow their ideas into sustainable solutions.
The programme operates on rolling deadlines, allowing young innovators to apply throughout the year.
