Electricity interruption affects Palm Ridge, Sky City
The City’s technicians are attending to a power supply interruption affecting Palmridge area due to a technical fault at Sefakabolela substation.
The extent of the work to be undertaken at the facility has forced the city to immediately implement load rotation until repairs have been completed.
Affected areas are:
- Palmridge;
- Palmridge Extensions; and
- Sky City.
“It is estimated that it will be days before the power is fully restored. In fact, the estimated restoration period is early next week, and the exact date will be confirmed and communicated to the public,” says City spokesman Zweli Dlamini. “Until the power is fully restored, we shall continue with the load rotation.”
Residents are advised to treat electrical networks as live at all times.
The city apologizes for the inconvenience this has caused.
