Katlehong hit-and-run suspect caught in Cape Town a year later
A team of dedicated detectives from the Katlehong North Police, arrested the most wanted suspect of murder who has been on the run for more than a year.
The suspect is expected to appear before the Palmridge Magistrates Court facing murder charges on Monday, November 7.
The suspect was nabbed in Montague Gardens a town near Cape Town in the Western Cape on Friday morning, November 4.
The intelligence-driven operation by Katlehong North detectives led them to Cape Town where they managed to find and arrest the suspect who is believed to have already secured employment in one of the big companies in the area.
The suspects was then transported back to Katlehong North to face charges of murder which he is alleged to have been committed to one of the students near the EWC College in Katlehong on the October 21 last year.
The suspect knocked down and fatally injured a victim crossing the street and did not stop after the accident.
The Acting Station Commander Lieutenant Colonel Botha has applauded the officers who were involved in this year long investigation and further sent a message to the criminals that you can run but not hide.
