Nzima Family Wants Justice Over the Tragic Death of Their Child
The Nzima family from Duduza says they are shocked and still trying to come to terms with the tragic and horrible death of their daughter.
This comes after the lifeless body of Ntombenhle Nzima, aged 5, was discovered by community members at Ground 2 near Mauno Section in Bluegum View on Wednesday, January 1.
According to the distraught mother, Palesa Nzima (24), the child went missing on Tuesday, 31 December 2024.
“After taking a bath in the afternoon, she went out to play with other children as usual, and I did not suspect anything. However, I began to get worried later because it was getting dark outside, and she was not returning home. When I asked around, they said no one saw her. We looked everywhere but could not find her. I could not sleep, and it was very painful to enter into a new year without my daughter,” she said speaking to Mapepeza.
“Her body was found on New Year’s Day by a hawker who sells vegetables, and she alerted the community. As a family, we are still shocked and in disbelief because this feels like a horrible dream. Ntombenhle was a bubbly child who was loved by everyone.”
An inquest docket has been opened at Duduza Police Station, and the police continue with the investigation.
