Police Investigate Murder in Kliprivier
On Sunday evening (February 12), a distress call was made to the police regarding a murder in progress in Sky City, Kliprivier.
Sergeant M. Nkosi received the complaint and promptly headed to the crime scene.
Upon arrival, Sergeant Nkosi found an unidentified African male lying undressed on the street with open wounds on his head and face, and broken beer bottles next to him.
Unfortunately, no community members were present when the police arrived, and no one came forward.
The relevant authorities were called to the scene, and proper procedures were followed to take the deceased to a state mortuary.
Sergeant Nkosi confirmed that a murder docket was opened for investigation, and she urged community members to come forward with any information that could help apprehend the suspects.
“A case docket of murder was opened for investigation. Police further ask community members to assist by coming forward with any information that helps apprehend the suspects,” said Nkosi.
The police are investigating the murder and have asked anyone with information to contact them. The identity of the victim has not been released, and the motive for the crime is unknown at this stage. The police have assured the public that they will do everything in their power to bring those responsible to justice.
