SASSA Card Swap Deadline Nears as Dipaleseng Beneficiaries Receive Key Information
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) is in the final stages of its ongoing card migration process, with the current cards set to expire on 20 March 2025.
As part of efforts to ensure a smooth transition, the Dipaleseng Local Municipality, through the Office of the Speaker, Cllr. Xolani Shozi, has been conducting information-sharing sessions across the municipal area.
The first engagement session took place at a packed Siyathemba Community Hall, where local beneficiaries gathered to receive crucial details about the card migration process and other essential services provided by SASSA.
Following the successful session in Siyathemba, similar engagements were held in Nthoroane and Grootvlei, ensuring that all SASSA beneficiaries within the municipality had access to the necessary information and assistance.
The initiative aims to equip beneficiaries with knowledge to facilitate a seamless transition to the new system, preventing any disruptions to their grant payments. SASSA has urged beneficiaries to update their details and switch to the new system before the deadline to avoid inconveniences.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to visit their nearest SASSA office or contact the agency’s toll-free hotline at 0800 60 10 11 for further inquiries.
