SASSA Grant Payment Dates for January 2025
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has officially announced the payment schedule for the cycle of January 2025.
“Older Persons Grants will be paid from the 03rd January 2025. Old Age Grant beneficiaries receiving Child Support Grants and Foster Care Grants will also be able to access the linked children grants on the same day.”
“They will be followed by people with Disabilities on the 06th January 2025 including grants linked to this account. All other grants will be paid from the 07th January 2025,” the agency said in a statement.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to open their own bank accounts with any bank of their choice. SASSA says this will assist them to take ownership of their funds and collection.
“SASSA/SAPO card can still be used as a debit card at ATM’s and counters of different merchants such as SPAR, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Cambridge, and others,” the agency explained.
Grant beneficiaries are also reminded to always keep their card and PIN safe, and not to share their pin with anyone.

Good day,i am on disability grant due to left shoulder replacement 3 years ago,and simce Feb 2024 i get blackouts and seizers,no i need help from my husband,he must go wherever i go,im am on 500 ml Epilim twice daily,but is my sassa disability only R1846. Im 2025 the 3 rd March i have to under go again for rigjt shoulder replacememt,i am unable to work ever again😭😭😭😭Isnt there a help grant for my husband to look after me,he doesent work and receive only old age pemsion of R2000.Please help us,i get many seizers and unable to continue my daily work..
Can you please help with hulp sassa disability,i get many seisers amd my jusnamd of 71 only receive old age gramg but he has to follow me everywhere,he is lookong after me,i undergo left shoulder replacement in 2021 now again i had to undergo tight shoulder teplacement 3 rd Maerh 2025
