Sassa grant payout increases from October 2023
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has issued the October payment dates for social grants.
Payments begin on Tuesday, October 3 with Old Age Grants followed by Disability Grants on Wednesday, October 4. Children’s grants will be paid from Thursday, October 5.
Grant beneficiaries are also reminded of the increase of social grants for the month of October as follows:
The Older Persons Grant will increase to: R2080 to R2090 on 1 October 2023, for recipients between 60 and 74 years old and R2110, for recipients between over 75 years old,
The Disability Grant will increase from R2080 to R2090 on 1 October 2023,
The Child Support Grant will increase from R500 to R510 on 1 October 2023,
The Child Support Grant Top-Up will remain at R250 on 1 October 2023, (no increase).
The Foster Child Grant will increase from R1120 to R1130 on 1 October 2023,
The Care Dependency Grant will increase from R2080 to R2090 on 1 October 2023,
The War Veterans Grant will increase from R2100 to R2110 on 1 October 2023,
The Grant-In-Aid will increase from R500 to R510 on 1 October 2023
