SASSA Social Grant Dates for May 2025
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has released the official payment schedule for social grants for the month of May 2025.
Beneficiaries are encouraged to take note of the following dates:
- Older Persons Grants – to be paid on Tuesday, 06 May 2025
- Disability Grants – scheduled for Wednesday, 07 May 2025
- Children’s and all other Grants – available from Thursday, 08 May 2025
SASSA continues to promote convenient and secure access to grants through a range of payment options.
Beneficiaries may choose to have their grants deposited directly into a personal bank account at a financial institution of their choice, allowing greater flexibility and control.
The SASSA gold card remains fully functional as a debit card and can be used at ATMs, as well as participating retailers such as Shoprite, Checkers, SPAR, Pick n Pay, Boxer, and Cambridge.
SASSA also reminds all recipients to protect their card and PIN information and never share it with anyone. Any suspicious activity should be reported to SASSA immediately.
