Springboks’ 2023 fixture list

The Springboks, South African rugby team, are getting ready for a huge 2023 season!

They will start off by playing against Australia in Pretoria in July.

Then, they’ll face Argentina in Johannesburg before heading to France to defend their Rugby World Cup title.

In July, the Springboks will play Australia at Loftus Versfeld Stadium in Pretoria.

After that, they’ll go to New Zealand to play the All Blacks.

And finally, they’ll finish their season against the Pumas in Johannesburg.

In August, they’ll play against Argentina and Wales in warm-up matches before the Rugby World Cup.

Then, they’ll play against Scotland, Romania, Ireland, and Tonga in the Rugby World Cup itself.

The quarter-finals will be played in October, followed by the semi-finals and finally the big final on the 28th of October.

The coach, Jacques Nienaber, is really excited to start the season at iconic stadiums like Loftus Versfeld and Emirates Airline Park.

He knows that playing against strong teams like New Zealand, Australia, and Argentina will be good preparation for the Rugby World Cup.

SA Rugby Director Rassie Erasmus also thinks that playing against Argentina in South America will be a good experience for the team.

They want to make sure they’re ready for the Rugby World Cup and leave no stone unturned.

The coaches have been working hard to plan for the season and they’re ready to get back on the training field.

Venues for the matches in New Zealand and Argentina and training camps will be announced later.

July 8th: Springboks vs Australia at Loftus Versfeld Stadium July

15th: Springboks vs New Zealand at Mt Smart Stadium

July 29th: Springboks vs Argentina at Emirates Airline Park

August 5th: Springboks vs Argentina (location TBC)

August 19th: Springboks vs Wales at Principality Stadium

August 25th: Springboks vs New Zealand at Twickenham

September 10th: Springboks vs Scotland at Stade Velodrome

September 17th: Springboks vs Romania at Stade de Bordeaux

September 23rd: Springboks vs Ireland at Stade de France

October 1st: Springboks vs Tonga at Stade Velodrome

October 14th-15th: Quarter-finals

October 21st-22nd: Semi-finals

October 28th: Final
