Update: At least 40 fatalities confirmed in Joburg CBD building fire
Johannesburg Emergency Services have confirmed at 7 am on Thursday, August 31, that at least 40 people have lost their lives and another 43 were injured in a fire in a multi-story building in Joburg Inner-City.
Mapepeza News Media reported about ten fatalities two hours earlier as the emergency personnel were still putting out the fire.
