Diepkloof resident nabbed with explosives

Officers of the South African Police Services (SAPS) Highway Patrol recovered explosives and arrested one suspect at Diepkloof recently.

“The members followed up on information which led them to a house in Diepkloof whereby explosives and ammunition were recovered. The suspect will appear in court soon on charges of possession of explosives and ammunition,” the police stated.

The Provicial Commissioner of the police in Gauteng, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela has applauded the members for the arrest and recovery of firearms and explosives.

He further assured the community of Gauteng that the police will continue working tirelessly in ensuring that those who break the law are arrested and face the full might of the law.

The police investigation continues.
