SASSA grant dates for September 2022
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) hereby wishes to announce payment schedule for the cycle of September 2022.
Older Persons Grant will be paid from Friday, September 2. Old Age Grant beneficiaries receiving Child Support Grant and Foster Care Grant will also be able to access the linked children grants on the same day. They will be followed by people with disabilities on the Monday, September 5. All other grants will be paid from Tuesday, September 6.
Beneficiaries do not have to withdraw their social grants on the first day of payment. Funds can be withdrawn on different days throughout the month in accordance to the beneficiaries needs.
Social Grant recipients are also advised of other alternative forms of receiving their grants and these includes using their personal bank account for money to be paid in directly, as well as using their SASSA/SAPO card as debit card on the ATM and counter of different merchants such as SPAR, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Cambridge and others.
Grant beneficiaries are advised to always remember their pin and keep their cards safe to protect their grants.
“Never keep your pin and card in the same place,” the agency says.
