Social grant payments for September 2024
The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) wishes to announce the payment schedule for September 2024.
Older Persons Grants will be paid from Tuesday, September 3.
Old Age Grant beneficiaries receiving Child Support Grants and Foster Care Grants will also be able to access the linked children grants on the same day.
They will be followed by people with Disabilities on Wednesday, September 4 including grants linked to this account.
All other grants will be paid from Thursday, September 5
Beneficiaries have an option to open their own bank accounts with a banking institution of their choice as this will assist them to take ownership of their funds and collection. SASSA/SAPO card can still be used as a debit card at ATMs and counters of different merchants such as SPAR, Checkers, Shoprite, Boxer, Pick n Pay, Cambridge, and others.
Social grant beneficiaries are also reminded to always keep their card and PIN safe and not share their PIN with anyone.
