Katlehong Police Looking for Missing 70-Year-Old Woman
Police in Katlehong have launched a search for a 70-year-old woman, Mrs Madeline Mosorokgi Tlou, who has been reported missing from her home in Khumalo Valley.
According to SAPS, Mrs Tlou was last seen on the morning of Friday, July 18, at around 7am. She resides at Matoboge Street and was last seen by a neighbour, who subsequently alerted her biological sister, Miss Maria Moropa.
At the time of her disappearance, Mrs Tlou was alone at home as her grandchildren, who normally live with her, are currently away for the school holidays. This is reportedly the first time she has gone missing.
Police have urged community members to assist in locating the elderly woman, describing the case as a priority due to her age and vulnerability.
“There is no waiting period to report a missing person,” said police spokesperson Constable Sivenkosi Mtwa. “We are appealing to anyone who may have seen Mrs Tlou or who might know her whereabouts to contact the police as soon as possible.”
