Free Digital Skills Training Opens for Unemployed Gauteng Youth

The Innovation Hub is encouraging unemployed youth under the age of 35 who have a Grade 12 certificate to apply.

Unemployed young people in Gauteng have an opportunity to gain in-demand digital skills through a free one-month online training programme offered by The Innovation Hub.

The programme is aimed at equipping participants with practical, industry-relevant skills that are increasingly sought after in today’s job market. Training will be offered in three high-growth fields:

  • Artificial Intelligence (AI)
  • Cloud Computing
  • Cybersecurity

The Innovation Hub is encouraging unemployed youth under the age of 35 who have a Grade 12 certificate to apply.

Successful applicants will receive online training designed to prepare them for opportunities in South Africa’s growing digital economy and improve their employability in the technology sector.

Applications close on 31 July 2026.

Interested applicants must email their CV, recently certified copy of their South African ID, and recently certified copy of their Matric certificate to internrecruit@theinnovationhub.com.

Applicants should clearly indicate the programme they are applying for in the subject line of their email.

With demand for digital skills continuing to grow across industries, the initiative offers young people an opportunity to build valuable knowledge in emerging technologies and strengthen their prospects in the world of work.
