Absa Stokvel Awards 2026 nominations open
Absa has also urged members of the same stokvel to submit nominations to help strengthen their group's chances.
Absa has called on stokvels across South Africa to enter the 2026 Absa Stokvel Awards, with nominations still open for groups hoping to gain national recognition and cash prizes.
The awards celebrate the role that stokvels play in helping communities save, invest and support one another. Winning stokvels in each category stand a chance to receive R75 000. The prize could be increased to R150 000 if qualifying requirements are met by 31 October 2026.
Stokvel members and the public are encouraged to nominate their own stokvel or another deserving group. Absa has also urged members of the same stokvel to submit nominations to help strengthen their group’s chances.
There are seven award categories, allowing different types of stokvels to compete based on their purpose and achievements. Qualifying nominees will be contacted during October.
To enter, participants must visit absa.co.za/stokvelawards, review the frequently asked questions and terms and conditions, and complete the online nomination form.
Absa also encourages qualifying groups to open an Absa Investment Club (stokvel) account. Groups can indicate the Absa branch where they intend opening the account, after which arrangements will be made with the selected branch to assist them.
Nominations close on 31 October 2026.
