Heidelberg Police are appealing to the public for assistance in locating an 18-year-old student, Rethabile Nkwana, who has been reported missing.
According to Heidelberg SAPS, Rethabile was last seen at around 3:00am on Thursday, 9 July 2026.
Police said the teenager had reportedly made several attempts to take their own life before disappearing, raising serious concerns for their safety and wellbeing.
Community members are urged to remain vigilant and report any information that could assist in locating Rethabile as soon as possible.
Anyone with information on Rethabile’s whereabouts is requested to contact Heidelberg SAPS on 010 499 4505, 010 499 4506, or 010 499 4507. Information can also be provided at the nearest police station.
Mapepeza urges the public not to share unverified information on social media and to immediately notify police if Rethabile is seen.
