As the coming winter season has been felt countrywide recently, the Rotary Club of Sandton is once again stepping up to support vulnerable members of the community through its annual blanket donation campaign.
Each year, the organisation distributes much-needed blankets to help residents stay warm during the colder months — a simple but impactful initiative that has brought comfort to many across Johannesburg.
This weekend, on 25–26 April, the club is inviting members of the public to get involved and make a difference. Volunteers will be stationed at the Winnie Mandela Precinct, outside Dis-Chem, where visitors can learn more about the campaign and contribute directly.
For those unable to attend in person, donations can still be made online. A contribution of R100 sponsors one blanket, making it easy for individuals, families, and businesses to play a role in supporting those in need.
Community members are encouraged to share the initiative with friends and family, helping to expand its reach and impact.

With winter fast approaching, organisers say every contribution counts in ensuring that no one is left out in the cold.
