WWU 2026: A Celebration of Women’s Empowerment, Faith and Restoration

The programme also celebrated the talents and contributions of the church community, with a dance performance by WWU volunteers bringing energy and joy to the gathering.

Women gathered at the Royal Majestic Rosebank on 10 October 2026 for the Wena Wesifazane Ukhululiwe 2026 Women’s Conference (WWU Conference), a faith-centred event dedicated to empowering women, strengthening families and creating a space for healing, growth and spiritual restoration.

Held under the theme “Fabulously You – Touch of Purple & Pink”, this yearst conference brought women together to celebrate their identity, share their experiences and find encouragement in a world where women continue to face challenges, including violence and attacks on their dignity.

The annual event opened with praise and worship, led by the church’s prayer warriors and worship team, setting a powerful spiritual tone for the day.

Guests were welcomed before the programme continued with testimonies, a book launch and messages focused on restoring confidence, faith and purpose.

A highlight of the programme was the book launch of Heaven Had a Verdict by Lindiwe Mamkhize-Twala, adding a literary dimension to the conference’s message of faith and empowerment.

Pastor Khanyisile Madlala delivered empowering words to women and children, encouraging them to recognise their worth and embrace the possibility of change. Her message reinforced the importance of creating spaces where women can feel free from the pressures and burdens of the world, supported by faith and a community that uplifts them.

Dr Ivanah Thoma also addressed attendees, speaking about change, personal growth and women’s confidence in their bodies. The discussion explored how body enhancement and surgery should not be understood solely through the unrealistic images often seen online. Women, including mothers, can make personal choices about their appearance and wellbeing, while ensuring those choices are informed and grounded in realistic expectations.

The conference included Holy Communion, bringing attendees together in reflection and fellowship, as well as a prayer session offering women and families an opportunity to seek spiritual strength and guidance.

Beyond spiritual enrichment, the event created opportunities for local businesses to showcase their products and services. Several businesses attended, gaining exposure and connecting with potential customers.

The programme also celebrated the talents and contributions of the church community, with a dance performance by WWU volunteers bringing energy and joy to the gathering.

With its combination of worship, prayer, testimonies, a book launch, personal development and business exposure, WWU 2026 offered women an opportunity to reconnect with themselves and their faith. The gathering served as a reminder that empowerment begins with recognising one’s value, embracing growth and supporting one another through life’s challenges.

Through faith and unity, the conference encouraged women and children to move forward with renewed confidence, knowing they do not have to face the world alone.
