The 18-year-old student who was reported missing in Heidelberg has been found safe.
Earlier on Thursday, Heidelberg SAPS appealed to the public for assistance in locating Rethabile Nkwana, who had last been seen at around 3:00am on 9 July 2026. Police had expressed concern for her safety and wellbeing.
Authorities have since confirmed that Rethabile has been located, bringing relief to her family, friends and the wider community.
Heidelberg SAPS thanked community members who shared the missing person alert and assisted in the search efforts.
Mapepeza also thanks everyone who helped spread the appeal and is pleased that Rethabile has been found safely.
