NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR ENVIRONMENTAL AUTHORISATION & WULA APPLICATION IN TERMS OF THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT ACT, 1998 (ACT 107 OF 1998) AND THE ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT ASSESSMENT REGULATIONS, 2014 (As Amended)
Proposed Development of the Inversion Flight Academy and Associated Infrastructure on Portion 12 of the Farm Poortje 389 IR, Gauteng Province. The coordinates of the site 26ยฐ 30′ 59.20″ 28ยฐ 23′ 12.78″. Inversion Flight Academy proposes to construct a flight Academy.
The development will include Student Accommodation, Classrooms, Cricket pitch, Olympic size swimming pools and a Hiking trail. The application follows a Basic Assessment (BA) process in terms of Listing Notice 1 (GNR 327, Activity 27) and Listing Notice 3 (GNR 324, Activity 12(C)(ii) of the EIA Regulations, 2014.
The proposal also triggers several Section 21 water uses in terms of the National Water Act, 1998 (Act No. 36 of 1998), which include Section 21(a), (c) & (i).
