The Germiston Magistrate’s Court has postponed the case of a police officer accused of rape to Thursday, 30 April 2026, for bail application.
The police officer was arrested last week Thursday for an alleged rape of a female detainee at the police station on 21 April 2026.
The complainant was arrested earlier for a dometic violence case, and she was placed in a cell alone.
The police officer went to the cell at night, and allegedly raped her. He was arrested after the case was reported to IPID.
