Woman found stabbed in Kutlwanong
Following further investigation, police identified the deceased as 29 year old Nomandithini George.
Police in Odendaalsrus have launched a murder investigation after the body of a 29-year-old woman was found with multiple stab wounds in an open field in K3 Location, Kutlwanong.
The gruesome discovery was made in the early hours of Friday, 25 September 2026 after passers-by spotted the woman’s body and alerted police.
Police were called to the scene at approximately 3:25am to investigate a possible murder.
Upon arrival, officers found the body of an African woman lying in the open field. She had sustained multiple stab wounds to her back, as well as wounds to her left ear and left cheek.
The woman was initially unidentified and was declared dead at the scene.
Following further investigation, police identified the deceased as 29 year old Nomandithini George.
The motive behind the killing remains unknown, and no arrests have been reported at this stage.
Odendaalsrus detectives are continuing with the investigation to establish what led to the woman’s death and to identify those responsible.
Police are appealing to anyone who may have information that could assist investigators or help trace the suspect or suspects to come forward.
