The Mandela Day Walk and Run is calling South Africans to the starting line.
On Sunday, 19 July 2026 at DP World Wanderers Stadium, thousands will walk and run to honour Nelson Mandelaโs legacy of service, unity and active citizenship.

It is more than just a race, the Mandela Day Walk and Run is the Nelson Mandela Foundationโs flagship Mandela Day event and entry supports initiatives that uplift vulnerable communities while celebrating Ubuntu.
This year, between 8,000 and 10,000 participants are expected on the route from families and first-time walkers to leaders from government, business, sport and civil society all moving for one purpose.
The 2026 event is proudly supported by BP South Africa, Telkom, and BYD.
