Rand Water says the work will improve pump availability, increase standby capacity and reduce the risk of equipment failures going forward.

Municipal Manager Sibusiso Dlamini told the Commission that while residents have raised concerns about inconsistent water supply and households not connected to pipeline systems, the municipalityโs water network remains largely operational.

According to the municipality, the positions are offered on a fixed-term contract with a monthly stipend of R4 000.

The application follows a Basic Assessment (BA) process in terms of Listing Notice 1 (GNR 327, Activity 27) and Listing Notice 3 (GNR 324, Activity 12(C)(ii) of the EIA Regulations, 2014.ย
