Lesedi Sports Confederation Announces Newly Elected Leadership Committee

The Lesedi Sports Confederation thanked all stakeholders, members, and community participants who took part in what was described as a historic process for sport in the region

The newly established Lesedi Sports Confederation has officially announced its elected leadership committee following what members described as a successful launch of the organisation.

The confederation said the newly elected committee will play an important role in advancing, developing, and coordinating sporting activities across the Lesedi Local Municipality region.

Leading the organisation as President is Mbali Hlophe, supported by 1st Vice President Jaco van Rensburg and 2nd Vice President Rowleen Welsh.

The remaining leadership positions include Lebogang Tutubala as Secretary, Cecil van der Berg as Deputy Secretary, and Velaphi Motsepe as an Additional Member. The Treasurer position remains vacant and will be filled at a later stage.

During the meeting, members unanimously agreed on a seven-member committee structure. Most positions were filled through unanimous agreement among members.

According to the resolutions adopted, the Treasurer position will be subjected to a formal voting process once suitable candidates with financial experience have been identified and submitted for consideration.

The organisation said the formation of the committee marks the beginning of a new chapter focused on sport development, unity, and leadership within Lesedi Local Municipality.
